The role: Senior Software Engineer
Write code and work with a diverse team at a company built around delivering quality software in the emergency notification and IT alerting space.
In your career you have
- Designed, developed, tested and maintained existing and new software projects
- Worked in a team environment
Qualifications:
- Strong server-side Java development background
- Strong web development background; Javascript and JS Framework (jQuery, Prototype, etc.), AJAX
- Strong grasp of concurrent programming concepts
- Experience developing for smart phones a plus
- 8+ years engineering experience for software companies and ideally having worked for entrepreneurial firms
- Bachelor’s degree in software engineering or equivalent is necessary
Specific technologies the ideal candidate would know:
- Java, JUnit, XML and XML Schema, Ant
- Scripting is some language (Python, Perl, Scala, Groovy, etc.)
- Subversion
- Apache Ivy
- SQL and NOSQL
- jQuery/Prototype
- JSON
- HTML, CSS
- GIS (PostGIS, Open Layers and Shape Files in Particular)
- iOS and Android
