Amir Moussavian  |  President and CEO

With more than 20 years of technology management experience, Mr. Moussavian has specialized knowledge in nurturing innovative technology companies from start-up to dynamic growth.

As president and CEO of MIR3, Mr. Moussavian oversees the company’s strategic direction and operations, including leading the company’s expansion into the European and Middle Eastern markets in 2010.

Prior to joining MIR3, Mr. Moussavian was the chairman and chief executive officer of Contigo Software, one of the first companies to bring online meetings to the Internet. He led Contigo to a successful acquisition by Raindance Communications (NASDAQ: RNDC) in June 2000.

Mr. Moussavian's career achievements also include the founding of HawkNet, Inc., a developer and publisher of performance management software for Novell networks, high-speed backup software and Microsoft NT servers. Within two years, Mr. Moussavian successfully led HawkNet from a start-up to its acquisition by BMC Software (NYSE: BMC). Prior to HawkNet, Mr. Moussavian served as President and CEO of GigaTrend, Inc., a pioneer in the 4mm data storage hardware and software industry.


Scott Neill  |  Chief Financial Officer

In his role as chief financial officer, Mr. Neill oversees and directs all financial management for MIR3. With over 25 years of financial management, investment banking and strategic venture planning experience, Mr. Neill has served as the CFO for a number of companies ranging from startup ventures to mid-sized businesses.

Before joining MIR3, Mr. Neill was the CFO at Polexis, Contigo Software, Inc. and HawkNet, Inc. While at HawkNet, Mr. Neill successfully raised over $20 million in venture capital and managed more than $50 million in corporate cash flow.

Mr. Neill has also held financial positions at Ford Motor Company, Hughes Aircraft Company, and Beckman Instruments.


Frank Mahdavi  |  Chief Strategy Officer

In his role as chief strategy officer, Frank Mahdavi provides comprehensive insight and understanding of market trends, changes and advancements. Mr. Mahdavi is also responsible for strategic development, knowledge of growing vertical markets and technology partnerships.

Prior to joining MIR3, Mr. Mahdavi was director of professional services at Peregrine Systems, helping to provide enterprise software solutions to Fortune 100 clients. Mr. Mahdavi has worked extensively in business and software development areas, including enterprise software solutions delivery.

Mr. Mahdavi holds a B.S. and an M.S. in aeronautical engineering from California Polytechnics State University in San Luis Obispo, CA and an MBA from the University of Southern California.


Clifton L. McLellan  |  Chief Technology Officer

As CTO, Clifton McLellan brings 20 years of experience in high technology companies to the MIR3 organization. Prior to joining MIR3, Mr. McLellan held the position of CTO at Glynlyon, Inc., a leading provider of online curriculum and e-learning solutions for charter, public and virtual schools across the United States. He also served as VP of engineering at GeoMark, a location-based services company, and as director of engineering at Enosys Software, an enterprise data integration company that created the Liquid Data product for BEA Systems, leading to the acquisition of the company by BEA.

Mr. McLellan also served as the first VP of engineering at Reaction Design, the exclusive commercial developer and distributor of CHEMKIN, the de facto standard for modeling gas and surface-phase chemistry, and a leader in developing clean technology combustion systems and fuels for the transportation and energy sectors.

Mr. McLellan received an A.B. degree from Bowdoin College and studied ethics at Bangor Theological Seminary.


Groff Bittner  |  Vice President, Platform Technology

As VP of platform technologies, Groff Bittner is charged with overseeing the product management, support and professional services departments of MIR3. This includes leading the development and implementation of the MIR3 product roadmap and providing customers with strategic consultation services to help them accelerate business growth. Mr. Bittner, a seasoned professional with more than 10 years of software engineering experience and 20 years of project and product management experience, joined MIR3 in 2005.

Prior to joining MIR3 Mr. Bittner was the director of product management for Redlake MASD, an advanced imaging hardware company, and for Acucorp a software tools development company. Mr. Bittner previously held technical positions at IRT, Intelligent Surgical Lasers and McDonnell Douglas.

Mr. Bittner received an M.S. degree in applied physics from the University of California San Diego.


Maz Ghorban |  Vice President, Corporate Development

As VP of corporate development, Maz Ghorban brings to MIR3 more than 13 years of experience in the high tech and telecommunications industries. Prior to joining the company, Mr. Ghorban held various senior management and executive positions managing professional services, sales support and event management services at Intercall, the world's largest conferencing provider, and also worked for Raindance Communications, a leader in the Web conferencing industry. Before joining Raindance, Mr. Ghorban worked for Mr. Moussavian at Contigo Software, an Internet communications industry leader, which was acquired in June 2000 by Raindance Communications (NASDAQ: RNDC).


Stacey Giles  |  Vice President, Enterprise Sales

Ms. Giles brings 20 years of exemplary sales experience to the MIR3 management team. She joined the company eight years ago as a sales executive, and since that time she has been instrumental in closing and managing strategic and high-value enterprise accounts such as Bank of America, VISA, Shell International, ExxonMobil, and Chevron. As VP, enterprise sales, Ms. Giles is responsible for the management of the MIR3 inside sales team as well as the North American sales and global enterprise sales teams.

Ms. Giles has spent 15 years cultivating strong business relationships and selling global solutions for enterprise application modernization, including testing software, services to develop Internet online communities, and published software such as Microsoft, CA, IBM, Symantec, Trend Micro, and Adobe. Prior to joining the technology sector, she spent five years in hospitality sales and convention services. Ms. Giles received her BS degree in social science from San Diego State University.


René Grossrieder  |  Vice President, Worldwide Channels & Alliances

In his role as VP, worldwide channels and alliances, Mr. Grossrieder is responsible for all domestic and international channel sales that include OEM partners, resellers and technology alliances, as well as direct international sales.

Mr. Grossrieder has more than 20 years of high tech experience. Prior to joining MIR3, Mr. Grossrieder served as the executive director for a capital advisory firm running mergers and acquisitions. Before that he served as VP of sales, global marketing and channels for Twisted Pair Solutions, a VoIP software company as well as VP of sales for DecisionPoint Software, a data analytics software company, which was acquired by NCR Teradata (NYSE: TDC). Previously, he held sales and management positions in medical device firm US Surgical (NYSE: COV) and for computer systems firm NCR Corporation (NYSE: NCR).

Mr. Grossrieder holds an MBA from MIT's Sloan School of Management as well as a B.A. in business from the University of Washington. He holds certificate programs from Stanford University that include finance and accounting (FANFE) and the executive program for growth companies (EPGC).


Ann Pickren  |  Vice President, Solutions

Ms. Pickren’s experience spans the BC/DR, crisis management and supply chain management sectors, providing strategic counsel for many Fortune 500 companies. In her role as VP, solutions, Ms. Pickren focuses on evangelizing MIR3 solutions to the BC/DR market. She will also consult directly with customers to develop emergency management and business continuity best practices.

Previously, Ms. Pickren served as executive VP at Firestorm Solutions, overseeing the development of business continuity and crisis management methodology and delivery of client services. She is well-known for her achievements at SunGard, where she was responsible for business continuity application software solutions, consulting engagement delivery and the management of professional staff.

Ms. Pickren serves as an advisory board member for BC Management Inc., is a member of the Organizational Resilience Maturity Technical Committee within ASIS International and is member of the DRJ Executive Council. She earned her MBA from Georgia State University with a focus on math and statistics in her undergraduate studies.


Carol A. Tiernan  |  Vice President, Marketing

With more than 15 years leading marketing and communication strategies in technology, energy, and healthcare marketing organizations, Ms. Tiernan has the ability and experience to drive awareness and demand for products and to lead their growth into emerging or changing markets. In her role as VP of marketing, Ms. Tiernan is responsible for the management of the company’s strategic marketing initiatives including corporate communications, marketing communications, brand management and all inbound and outbound marketing efforts. 

Prior to joining MIR3, Ms. Tiernan was senior manager of corporate marketing for Websense (NASDAQ: WBSN), an Internet security software company. She has also held leadership roles at start-ups and large corporations including Comcast Business Communications (NASDAQ: CMCSA), Internap Network Services (NASDAQ: INAP) and Schlumberger (NYSE: SLB). Ms. Tiernan earned a B.A in Communication and Advertising from Seton Hall University.
