TelAlert Failover Support Module
The Failover Support Module is configured to operate in a client-server model, supporting an architecture where there is a single master TelAlert 6e process set and multiple remote back-up systems. This module makes it is possible to send messages and modify the master configuration in a fully reliable and redundant fashion so that no configuration changes are lost. When messaging servers are set-up for synchronization with the Failover Support Module, the programs that initiate alerts can be used to address the master and any secondary systems. The TelAlert client will attempt to contact each system in sequence.

MIR3 announced that in the past week its platform, in use by the University of Pennsylvania for its UPennAlert Emergency Notification System, had undergone an annual campus-wide test by the University's Division of Public Safety. This safety drill was conducted to ensure that all campus constituents—some 53,000 students, faculty and staff—continue to be notified with critical, accurate information in the event of any emergency.
